So I don't know if anyone has heard about Myspace Black Carpet Screenings yet, but, I went to the first one ever tonight at the Arclight theater in Hollywood (right across the street from my school actually). It was Jackass 2 and I can honestly say it was one of the most entertaining movies I have ever seen in my life. Obviously if you don't like Jackass, you won't like the movie, but if you do like Jackass, you'll love every second of it. The whole experience was made even better by the fact that Steve-O (who I suspect was on drugs of some kind based on his completely manic behavior), Preston Lacy, and Wee-man were all there to intro the movie. So yeah good times, check it out for sure.

So I miss San Diego, and L.A. can be a drag, but one thing I have to say about L.A. is that there is always plenty of awesome things to do here. Today I went to my registration for school then went to a taping of Jeopardy. Then I bought tickets to the filmmaker panel night of Nightmare Before Christmas 3D in October, then I went to see Pedro Almodovar's film Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown at a theater on sunset. Tomorrow I plan on seeing This Film is Not Yet Rated (the director and the producer of the film are going to be there for a Q&A) and I plan on going to disneyland and going to a Raushcenberg exhibit at the museum of contemporary art sometime this weekend. So yeah, I'm going to miss everyone in SD, but I certainly won't be bored because of it. So basically what I'm trying to say is screw you all, I don't need you.

| My life |
[03 Aug 2006|11:19pm] |
So I thought I would give everyone an update on my life for those who care. First of all (most of you know this, but for those who don't) I'm in Godspell right now as Judas. We open next thursday and It's going to be good so you should come.
Second, on September 5th I will be starting my one year (like one full year) program at the Los Angeles Film School. Which means that on August 30, I will be moving to L.A. and living with my grandparents. So this means that you should come and visit me. If you happen to be in L.A. I can provide you with a free place to stay, and maybe I'll even take you somewhere fun. One depressing thought I've had about leaving is that I'm probably never going to move back to San Diego after I leave. I'll be back to see my family plenty of course, but after my school is done I'm going to have to find work, and In my chosen profession, there isn't much work in sunny San Diego. Maybe if I get nice and rich I'll move back here someday.
So anyways, I'm thinking of having a small party that will involve one or all of the following: Swimming, Jacuzzi, Karaoke Revolution, Get on Da Mic, or some other thing I haven't even thought of yet. This shindig will be on the 28th or 29th, I don't really know, I just came up with the idea, so try to keep those nights open.
and also Vote for me as a Director in LiveMansion.com The Movie!

NEW MUSE ALBUM ON MYSPACE! |
] |
Today was an interesting day. I went to my meeting thing for my diet and I apparently lost 14 1/2 pounds in my first week (obviously I won't lose this much every week, but it's still pretty crazy). So the diet certainly sucks, but there is no question that I will see results if I stay with it.
Tonight at work was interesting. Right when i get in I had the pleasure of seeing the craziest a-hole customer I have ever seen. He was flipping out and cursing up a storm, all with his kid right next to him no less. The best part is that the incident was sparked because he owed $2.04. crazy bastard.
Also my co-worker tyler had his ipod stolen out of the back office. That's crazy enough as is, but it's even crazier that my ipod wasn't stolen because it was right next to it charging on a little ipod stereo. Crazy and terrible. People suck.
Also I was going through this weeks Reader and I stumbled across this years line-up for 4 o'clock fridays at del mar and it has the best line-up ever. But, I have rehearsal on all but two of the nights. Luckily one of those night is for the Flaming Lips, yeah, Flaming Lips, free with admission. Best thing ever.
and that's all.

So tomorrow (Tuesday) I'm starting a diet through Kaiser (Permanente). The diet consists of me drinking 5 shakes a day...and that's it. I won't be eating any actual food for like 20 weeks. So If you were planning on inviting me out for an expensive steak dinner, maybe don't. Also the stuff apparently gives you bad breath. So If this is the case feel free to say, in the immortal words of some random black woman in an N.W.A. song, "Eric, yo breff smells!", and if you can name what song that comes from you will officially reach best friend status in my book and my top 16 will reflect it accordingly.

So tomorrow night I have tickets to The Times They are a Changin' at the Old Globe. For those of you who don't know it's a Twyla Tharp choreographed play that uses all Bob Dylan music and when it's done here it's going to broadway. I got student tickets for $19 each and I was going to go with my mom but she can't go now. So who wants to go with me, unfortunately I am poor and can't afford to give you the ticket, but $19 ain't much for a broadway caliber show. So If you want to go with me, let me know. The performance starts at 8, at least I think so.

I just got done watching a documentary called A State of Mind that is about North Korea, specifically about this crazy yearly event they do called the Mass Games. It was crazy, I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone, I was speechless afterwards. It was probabaly the best documentary of the year. I burned a copy of it so if you want to see it, just let me know.

So I've decided that I need a movie buddy, I'm sick of going to the movies by myself. What I would like is to find someone who likes to go to the movies as much as I do who I can call anytime I'm going to a movie, and more often than not they will go. If you believe you are this person or you know someone who is this person, please let me know. I will start things off by giving you the list of every movie I want to see right now. If you would like to see one of these movies with me Today(Sunday), Tuesday, or Wednesday night call me, or leave me a message on here.
The movies I want to see: The Conformist, Hostel, Looking For Comedy in the Muslim World, The Matador, Match Point, The New World, Pride And Prejudice, The Producers, Transamerica, The White Countess
